We work with an international and diverse clientele, guiding our clients through the entire project—from feasibility studies to specifying items from finishing to furniture—culminating in a stunning prefabricated home, delivered and assembled on-site.
The role:
- This is a leadership role, guiding the team and projects through design development, permitting, construction documentation, detailing, and production.
- Coordinate and maintain lasting relationships with staff, vendors, consultants, builders, and local regulatory officials
Required experience:
- Extensive knowledge of single-family residential wood frame construction
- A degree in Architecture
- Minimum 10 years’ experience creating DDs and CDs
- Advanced level of proficiency in Revit
- Demonstrated success in project delivery and execution
Valued experience:
- Experience supervising staff and coordinating consultants
- A strong design vocabulary
- Literacy with SketchUp
- Fluency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with prefab building systems and off-site construction methods

A typical day with us:
- Interpreting 3D schematic design models from SketchUp and converting them into Revit models to produce Design Development Drawings and Construction Documents
- Creating and coordinating Revit models for complex residential projects for permitting, fabrication, and construction, with a keen understanding of the construction process, specifications, and applicable building codes
- Creating, organizing, and overseeing the preparation of complete sets of Construction Documents
- Reviewing BIMs, DDs, CDs, and shop and panel drawings to ensure that all conform to appropriate specifications, standards, building codes, and design intent
- Coordinating with engineers, local regulatory officials, consultants, and builders to ensure that the clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Producing, analyzing, and advising on detailed specifications for suitable materials, products, and means and methods
- Creating and overseeing the creation of details and Revit families to further expand an existing detail library, along with templates and standards
- Researching building codes, construction techniques, materials, industry standards, and local regulations
- Visiting construction sites across the U.S. and Canada to ensure that architectural specifications are properly followed; includes initial assembly, framing, and window/door inspections
- Participating in a collaborative studio culture, and advancing the performance of the Design Team by challenging the status quo, and acting as a change agent for continuous improvement
