As a vital member of the firm, you will augment Turkel’s creative voice as lead designer during the schematic design process. In this customer-facing role, you will guide the project and client through the design and building process to maintain design intent and ensure projects are delivered within budget and on schedule.
Qualifications
- 15+ years reviewing and/or preparing construction documents
- 15+ years in client and project management
- Professional degree in Architecture
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in SketchUp
- Experience supervising staff and coordinating consultants
- Architectural registration (Preferred)
You will
- Collaborate on the design of custom residences
- Present and discuss designs with clients via online screen-share meetings
- Provide innovative and thoughtful design direction for client consideration
- Create project schedules and coordinate with clients, consultants, and staff to implement
- Oversee and review the creation of construction documents
- Research building codes, construction techniques, materials, industry standards, and
local regulations - Travel to perform site visits (across Canada and the US)
- Participate in a collaborative studio culture
